She had to dig through a custard pie to find her prize, but Shannon Gutt of Tonawanda became the winner of a new Ford Fiesta Sunday afternoon at the Erie County Fair, courtesy of the WNY Ford Dealers.
“I’ve always heard of people winning things like this. I just never thought it would be me,” she said after she and nine other contestants selected their pies in the fair’s Family Entertainment Complex and then looked to see if theirs was the one with the car key.
Fairgoers could enter every day from opening day on Aug. 7 through Friday to win the maroon Fiesta on display in the fair’s Outdoor Experience Building, or they could enter online at www.wnyford.com. One finalist was selected each day.
