Free Christmas trees will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Philip Sheridan School, back parking lot, 3200 Elmwood Ave., Town of Tonawanda.
The trees are available to anyone in need. The 24-year tradition was started by former Erie County Legislator Charles Swanick and Dave Arida of Arida Tree Farmers. Adams Nurseries also donates trees. Volunteers will assist with loading trees into vehicles. After 1 p.m., remaining trees will be left in the parking lot for anyone to take.
