BATAVIA – The Genesee County Legislature will lose its longest serving clerk when Carolyn P. Pratt retires on March 22.
Pratt has served the county’s two managers – Charles W. Meyer and Jay A. Gsell – since that post was created shortly after she was named clerk in 1988. She has worked with four legislative chairmen and watched the switch from volumes of paper to email for legislative and committee agendas and meeting minutes.
A Batavia resident and graduate of Skidmore College, Pratt said she looks forward to more family time.
