SHERIDAN – A Silver Creek man sustained injuries this morning after a deer entered the roadway and he struck it with his motorcycle, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said.
John McAlevey, 56, was riding southbound on O’Brien Road in the town of Sheridan, according to officials. He couldn’t avoid the deer, and he ended up in a ditch on the side of the road, authorities said.
Authorities said McAlevey was injured but didn’t disclose his condition nor the extent of the injuries. McAlevey was taken to Lakeshore Hospital in an ambulance, officials said.
