LEWISTON – The New York Power Authority will host a Family Safety Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in its admission-free Power Vista, the visitor center for the Niagara Power Project.
The event will feature safety information and presentations from various public safety offices and exhibitors. This includes an exhibit that simulates the hazards of texting while driving, operated by the New York State Police and presented in cooperation with Nationwide Insurance.
The Niagara Falls Fire Department Fire Safety House will give children a chance to learn about creating a fire safety plan. The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office will host a bike rodeo and offer car seat checks and children’s identification cards. Police dog demonstrations will be held outside the building as well.
