A fire that started in an automobile spread to a nearby house on the 100 block Box Avenue this morning, sending firefighters to a two-alarm blaze.
Eight adults living were driven from the two-and-half story wood frame house at 167 Box. The fire was declared under control at about an hour after firefighters responded at 6:30 a.m.
No serious injuries were reported.
The Red Cross was providing assistance for the people driven from the home.
