Carl Paladino’s plans for a waterfront development won’t be shelved after all.
Paladino will take his concept for a mixed-use development at the Webster Block, which lost in a bidding contest against the Buffalo Sabres, to a parking lot at the Erie Basin Marina.
Mayor Byron W. Brown announced today during his state of the city address that Paladino will get the BURA owned property next to Templeton Landing for the project.
“The Carlo,” a $75 million office, hotel and apartment complex, will be built on land owned by the Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency, pending city approvals.
The development includes office space, a 138-room hotel, 32 apartment units, spa and fitness facility, banquet facilities and a 602-space parking garage, a 40-space surface parking lot.
The parcel, now a parking lot, is located at Erie and Wilkeson streets.
